IBC 2019 about lahore

Lahore is the second largest city of Pakistan. It is the provincial capital of the Punjab in Pakistan. Lahore has a population of approximately 9 million and this makes it a densely populated city. Lahore has been a major centre for commerce, industry, agriculture and culture. The city is home to many of Pakistan’s most iconic and historically significant landmarks such as the Badshahi Mosque, the Minar-e-Pakistan and the Lahore Fort. The earliest mention of the city can be traced to Hindu legends described in Sanskrit scriptures, but during the Mughal reign Lahore was adorned with the ornaments which make it the ‘Paris of the East’. Fragments of the eras which the city has endured present a tableau of architecture, art, culture and cuisine, which leaves an everlasting impression. Furthermore, Lahore is an educational hub, home to many of the country’s finest institutes including Aitchison College, Government College Lahore, National College of the Arts, Punjab University and University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
